The Powderhorn Art Fair this past weekend had quite a few recycling bins, which was great, and quite a few that were next to trash cans, also great, but there were lots of solitary trash cans, which is problematic because then people throw bottles and cans in the trash. "Disposal stations,' where you have, say, three to five central locations with several bins to dispose of your things (and not random bins scattered around), is the way to go, in my experience.
I was sad to see not one recycling bin in this food area, despite the fact that bottles and cans were being sold and people were sitting and eating their food here. You can't tell from the picture, but there were FIVE garbage cans.
I think we should put these all over the city! They're great!!
